Fire Alarms

A properly installed maintained and monitored fire alarm system provides early detection of fire situations.  Early warning detection leads to evacuation and faster response by emergency personnel and can significantly reduce property loss and damage.  Alliance Fire Protection Services, Inc. technicians have over 64 years combined experience and continue to be on the cutting edge of today’s technology.  AFPS uses the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 72 – National Fire Alarm Code® as the standard for the application, installation, location, performance, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and its components.

Ensuring that the fire alarm system installed in your building is working properly just makes good sense.  AFPS can provide an inspection program custom tailored to your needs.  The facility owner is required to have the detection and alarm system components visually inspected annually, semi-annually, quarterly, or monthly, in accordance with Table 10.3.1 of NFPA 72. More frequent inspections may be required by the local authority having jurisdiction.  Table 10.4.3 of NFPA 72 requires the owner of the facility to have the detection and alarm system components tested annually and semi-annually. The Authority Having Jurisdiction [AHJ] may require more frequent testing if so directed. Based on our experience AFPS recommends that the customer have the detection and alarm system tested at least semi-annually (every six months).  Semi-annual and annual inspection and testing procedures may vary slightly according to NFPA and Local requirements.   We perform all the required tests and inspections of your fire alarm components because preventative maintenance can save you thousands of dollars in the long run.  We provide a report that contains all the relevant information for the fire marshal and your insurance company.  Take the worry out of keeping track of schedules.  Let AFPS track them for you.
